The crossover between "Scooby-Doo" and "Supernatural" has been in the news for a long while now — thanks to co-showrunner Andrew Dabb who revealed a few details about the much-awaited crossover and when it will finally happen.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Dabb talked about how the idea started, how they will deal with it and when it is going to be released. The crossover concept has been in discussion in the writers' room since the show's fourth season.

He said that being on the air for a long time has given them the advantage of having a number of ideas that they could use. So, Dabb's conversation with Jeremy Adams at Warner Bros. Animation ignited the start of talk of a "Scooby-Doo" crossover. Since the 13th season of "Supernatural" was renewed early, they had a long amount of time to work on the crossover.

Dabb worked with Warner Bros. Animation, the script is now finalized and the actors have already done with their parts.

"It will air probably about March of next year," he revealed.

Dabb continued to say that it will be a normal episode of The CW fantasy-horror television series with Scooby-Doo in it and not the other way around.

He even described the "Supernatural" and "Scooby-Doo" crossover as more adult than just an average "Scooby-Doo" episode.

Co-executive producer Robert Singer also told EW that Scooby-Doo is going to be the show's marquee this year.

"The script really works. It's just going to be great," he teased.

Meanwhile, in "Supernatural" season 13 episode 5 titled "Advanced Thanatology," Castiel (Misha Collins) came back. His return was what Dean (Jensen Ackles) really needed as his faith was getting incredibly low.

In the beginning of this season, fans saw Dean giving up faith in everything he used to believe in. But with Castiel's return, it seems like he is about to get his hope's high again. Dean is going to get his motivation back and he will be digging a little deeper into his story this time.

"Supernatural" season 13 airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
