Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) and Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) will have a new travel companion in the next episode of "Supernatural" season 13.

Titled "The Rising Son," the synopsis for episode 2 reads, "Sam and Dean begin to explore what Jack (Alexander Calvert) is capable of doing with his powers. An unexpected visit from Donatello (guest star Keith Szarbajka) alerts the boys to the fact that Jack will need more protection than the Winchesters can provide. There is a new Prince of Hell in town, Asmodeus (guest star Jeffrey Vincent Parise), and with Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) out of the picture, he sets his sights set on Jack."

Aside from that spoilers and speculations for what this season will bring have already been roaming around the internet.

According to Entertainment Weekly, one of the fresh things about the latest "Supernatural" season is the fact that Jack will now be traveling with the Winchester brothers. The showrunners want to keep things fresh and they think that adding Lucifer's creepy but charming son to the mix will show fans of the series a new side of the Winchester brothers that they hadn't seen before.

Robert Singer, one of the co-showrunners, said, "We just felt there's so much opportunity with Jack. It's a big swing again, but somehow we always manage to keep the show grounded in its own reality."

Aside from the subplot involving Jack, season 13 will also focus on Lucifer. He's now on earth and it'll be up to the brothers to do something about it. Andrew Dabb, one of the executive producers, mentioned that season 13's Big Bad would be an old friend that "we have not seen in many years."

The show also hints of future episodes in the apocalypse world that feature Lucifer and Mary.

The first episode of season 13 "Lost and Found" featured Dean trying to kill Lucifer's son, Jack. Sam, not agreeing with Dean, tried to convince his brother to spare the child. The clash in ideals started an argument between the brothers, but unfortunately, several angels who wanted Jack's power arrived and the brothers ended up duking it out with the supernatural entities

The episode ended with them agreeing to spare Jack and take him to a bunker, though Dean felt they should only keep him alive until someone capable of killing Jack appears.

"Supernatural" season 13 airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
