Surface Pro 3 users can easily upgrade to Windows 10 if they want to, Microsoft Surface General Manager Brian Hall stated in his recent blog post.

The tablet computer manufactured by the Redmond, Washington-based tech giant is targeting businesses that need the function and power of a laptop but would like to enjoy the portability that tablets bring. Hall said that Surface Pro 3 is built entirely for all types of work.

The product brand manager said, "Wherever you are, you have a powerful, light, single device that can do nearly everything you need. Surface Pro 3 can replace your laptop and be a tablet."

He also shared that several big institutions like Coca Cola, BMW, and Louis Vuitton, as well as the Cincinnati Country Day School, the University of Pittsburg Medical Center, and the Lotus 1 Team chose to replace their old computer units with the Surface Pro 3.

Hall also mentioned in his article that Microsoft aimed to keep things simple for the IT departments of businesses who opt to use the device in their line of work. The software company made sure that all the drivers and firmware of the Surface Pro 3 can be easily accessed by the IT technicians to be able to create their corporate image. They also offer a complete Surface tech support to help establishments have smooth-sailing operations.

The device is also easily upgradeable to the latest Microsoft operating system.

Hall said, "Surface Pro 3 will continue to support Windows 8.1 AND of course be upgrade-able when Windows 10 is released."

Meanwhile, Microsoft recently announced that they are preparing to improve the device's Wi-Fi connectivity as well as other undisclosed fixes. The said updates will reportedly roll-out in the coming days.

Rumors about a Surface Pro 4 are also rife online. According to The REM, the upcoming next-generation of the Surface is compatible with the accessories of the Surface Pro 3, and it would be running using the Windows 10 operating system.

It is said that the alleged Surface Pro 4 will be unveiled in 2015.
