Tech enthusiasts all over the world are expected to tune in to Microsoft's Future Decoded event in London on October 31. The conference this year will discuss the implications of today's technology to the future, and how the Redmond-based tech giant will push the technology forward for the benefit of individuals and businesses. However, the highlight of the event will be the unveiling of the first-ever Surface Pro LTE machine.

According to the latest reports, several tech experts and analysts will take the podium to talk about Microsoft's future ventures, such as the possible mass distribution of the HoleLens. However, Microsoft Hardware Chief Panos Panay is expected to deliver the most important announcement of all, which is the arrival of LTE-powered Surface Pro devices this 2017. To note, the Surface Pro LTE has already been rumored for months, until Microsoft finally confirmed the long-running speculations.

The questions left to be answered are how the Surface Pro LTE will be different from other mobiles devices having the same LTE capabilities, and when the new hardware will be distributed to the market. For now, it is believed that the LTE version of Microsoft's 2-in-1 laptop will be using the same concept of Qualcomm X16 Gigabit Class LTE model, capable of supporting internet speed up to 450mbps.

It is likely that Microsoft has changed the current hardware configuration of the Surface Pro, wherein the modem is now fully integrated with the motherboard. Additional features are also expected with the LTE feature, such as optimized sleep and hibernate options for more efficient power consumption. The LTE version of Surface Pro is expected to have seven massive LTE antennas for more reliable network connection.

In other news, Microsoft reiterated that the Surface Pro LTE is coming this year, amid earlier reports that the device is headed for a spring 2018 release date. The company recently released a statement through Neowin to correct their erroneous report that the Surface Pro LTE will be delayed until next year.
