"Switched at Birth" is nearing its finale but Movie News Guide reports that series creator, Lizzy Weiss, promises that the second half of season 4 will contain a very controversial twist.

The big catch of the previous episode, "There is My Heart," was the break-up between Bay and Emmett. Weiss also stated via Twitter that the fans will see a lot more of Mingo now that he and Daphne hit new development in their relationship.

What the big twist might be has gotten fans speculating whether the second half of season 4 would once again deal with women's strengths and struggles as seen before.

The series previously aired an episode where Bay was drunk and nearly raped by her ex-boyfriend Tank and that episode was criticized by some and praised by many, particularly from girls who experienced similar situations with their male friends.

"I was prepared for (some) women and rape survivors to be really angry that we were telling a story in which the act is not clearly labeled 'assault,'" Weiss said, as cited by Favorwire. The response, however, was quite the opposite with many rape survivors giving praise. Weiss was further motivated to tackle other controversial issues in the show.

Weiss then continued to post via Twitter some tidbits regarding the show's return, particularly with the title of the next two episodes that would launch the second half of season 4. Episode 11 is titled "To Repel Ghosts" and episode 12 is titled "How Does a Girl Like You Get to be a Girl Like You."

Sharing her excitement was Constance Marie who then posted photos via Twitter of the cast at a table read. The official Twitter account for the show also confirmed that production for the second half had begun, with filming commencing on April 8.

"Switched at Birth" episode 11 has not yet been given an official release date but the show is set to return come summer 2015.
