Switchfoot announces UK tour

Multi-platinum selling band Switchfoot are UK bound this November.

It's been a few years since they were last in the country and fans will have the chance to catch them again on five dates this November, including a show at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on November 8.

The tour will come hot on the release of their eighth studio album, Vice Verses, which is out on September 26.

The first single to be released from the project will be ‘Dark Horses’ on 12 September.

Switchfoot drummer Chad Butler grew up in the UK and is looking forward to his return for the tour.

"I grew up in and around London so Hyde Park and Regents park hold great childhood memories," he says.

"My favourite venue would be Shepherd’s Bush, we had a great show there a few year’s ago ... can’t wait to come back!"

He added: “UK fans bring the energy of a football match into a concert ... by the time we hit the UK it’s an all new Vice Verses show."

The band recorded most of the album in their own studio in San Diego, California, and alongside producer Neal Avron, who has worked with Weezer and Linkin Park.
