Switzerland and France will battle it out for dominance of Group E on Friday. Both of these teams managed to gain three points in their opening games, but now they both will be looking to consolidate those wins with a second straight victory today. However, only one team can walk away with the win.

These two countries are very familiar with one another, having played one another 36 times before. Out of those 36 games, France have won 15, there have been nine draws, and Switzerland have managed to win just 12.

Switzerland will qualify for the knock out rounds if they can win here today, and Honduras fail to defeat Ecuador in another game taking place tonight.

The Swiss though have never won their opening two World Cup matches in their history, so for them to get the win today they will need to make history.

The Switzerland team though is on an impressive run of form until now. They have played 19 games since May 2012, and out of those 19 games they have lost only once; winning 13, drawing 5, and losing just the one game which was away against South Korea in November.

Meanwhile, France will qualify for the last 16 with a win, provided Ecuador do not beat Honduras. They too enter today's game in good form, having won five and drawn one of their last six matches.
