Taste of Adventure Helps Young Christian and Muslim Men Bond

|PIC1|A good dose of canoeing and mountain-biking gave young Christian and Muslim men the perfect opportunity to forge close friendships last weekend.

The adventure weekend in Shropshire was organised by the Christian Muslim Forum to help the young men build lasting friendships and learn how to work together.

The group was led through a series of physical challenges during the weekend, including fencing and low-ropes course.

The evenings, meanwhile, brought participants together to discuss what it means to be a man of God in today's world from their different faith perspectives.

The evening sessions brought out the differences but also similarities between the two faiths.

One Muslim participant shared: "I discovered more about Christianity. I didn't really know anything before and I've realised how similar it is to Islam."

Another participant said, "I've learned not to judge by first impressions."

The weekend away took place between 20 and 22 July at the Quinta Centre in Shropshire.
