It looks like the rumors about Taylor Swift's sixth new album are getting wilder and wilder as fans' patience begins to wear thin.

According to a report by the New York Post, the mill has begun churning up reports that after dishing out country and pop music to the world, Swift is now gearing up to release an R&B and hip-hop album. Word is that the country and pop singer has been trying out and experimenting with different genres.

"Taylor is always looking at ways to grow as an artist and really wants to try something different and unexpected for the next album. The remix of her song 'Bad Blood' had a less pop vibe — especially once Kendrick Lamar featured on it — and was a big hit, so she thinks her fans will like her going in this direction," an anonymous source informed the publication.

While the alleged turn to R&B and hip-hop genres for her next album has been interpreted by some as an earnest attempt at expanding her horizons as a musician and artist, others believe that Swift could just be making a jab at rapper Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian after a recent argument over the lines of the rapper's notorious song, "Famous."

Rumors of the album featuring songs from the hip-hop and R&B genres have actually spun due to Swift's heightening friendship with Drake. Word also has it that Swift has also met Drake's mother.

Meanwhile, the Telegraph reports that friends of Swift have reported that the country and pop icon has begun taking to the studio after her recent break-up with British celebrity A-lister, Thomas Hiddleston. Swift has been an artist known to make music after her failed romances, and with the recent relationship going awry, many have been hoping to have a new album on the way.
