Players of "Team Fortress 2" will soon be deep in the jungle, as Valve announces the "Jungle Inferno" content update to its decade-old game.

In celebration of 10 years of success, "Team Fortress 2" will be getting new jungle-themed maps in its "Jungle Inferno" update for the free-to-play first-person shooter (FPS). The update takes inspiration from Hollywood movies, particularly "Jurassic Park," and incorporates its own wacky signature twist. Instead of dinosaurs, the park in the update is populated by Yetis, which most certainly do not belong in a jungle environment.

"If 'Jurassic Park' taught us one thing, it's life finds a way. If 'Jurassic Park' taught us two things, it's life finds a way and 'Jurassic Park' is a good idea to steal for an update. And if Valve's legal team has taught us one thing, it was by screaming at us about not telling you the second thing 'Jurassic Park' taught us," the developers said in a statement released on the official game website.

Developer Valve first unveiled a map called Mercenary Park, a jungle-themed map with three control points that Valve itself has handcrafted. Players of the RED and BLU teams will then compete for the said control points, and the team with the most points wins the match.

Along with the developer-created map, five community-made maps will also be introduced as part of the "Jungle Inferno" update. These are Banana Bay and Enclosure, which both utilize the payload race mode, Lazarus and Brazil, which will have the king of the hill mode, and Mossrock, which is an attack/defend map.

To top off the big update by Valve, they also included new Yeti emotes for players to communicate with, along with other community-created emotes.

Those are just the day one contents of the update, which is set to unfold in the next three days. Day two of the update introduces Jungle Inferno Campaign Pass, which gives players immediate access to 36 unique, skill-based contracts. New cosmetic items such as warpaints, new hats, ammo belts, and Yeti-themed apparel are also introduced.

More updates will arrive in the next couple of days. "Team Fortress 2" is a free-to-play FPS and is available on Steam.
