'Teen Mom 2' season 7 renewed? Release date sometime in 2016?

"Teen Mom 2" season 6 just finished this week and the show is surely packed with so many questions that only new episodes will be able to answer.

Fortunately, there will be more episodes since it was reported that the MTV reality show has been renewed for another season.

Although MTV has yet to give confirmation about the news, several sources told The Ashley's Reality Roundup that the show will return for a seventh season and the publication is confident that the news is 100 percent true.

According to the sources, they got the news a couple of weeks ago, and filming for "Teen Mom 2" season 7 will start in the coming two weeks. The release could be sometime in 2016.

So, will all the four participants come back for season 7? Insiders for The Ashley's may not be able to confirm who will participate in the upcoming season, but according to them, the show will definitely not continue if one of the lead stars is not present.

On the other hand, it is also less clear if peripheral participants will come back for season 7, since it was reported in July that Corey Simms cut his ties with MTV last summer. That same month, Jeremy Calvert was reported to be quitting the show, but he has not formally announced it yet.

Meanwhile, the decision to give "Teen Mom 2" another season is not at all surprising, Starcasm reported.

The report explained that the show continued to garner high ratings every Thursday among the18 to 49-year-old viewers. "Teen Mom 2" is also performing impressively among those who watch it on digital video recorder (DVR).

In addition, the last season was filled with troubling moments that the season was dubbed by WetPaint as the "most depressing" thing ever shown in reality TV.

Renewing it will also give the stars — Chelsea Houska, Leah Messer,Kailyn Lowry and Jenelle Evans — the chance to fix things in their lives.

To this point, the actual premiere date for "Teen Mom 2" season 7 has yet to be announced.
