David Eason will no longer be a part of "Teen Mom 2."

The reality star has been fired by MTV after posting a series of hateful tweets against the LGBTQ community, MTV confirmed via Twitter Monday. The network released a statement saying it was "ending our relationship" with Eason, who is the husband of Jenelle Evans.

In his now-deleted tweets, Eason slammed gay and transgender parents for the way they raise kids. He said they should "start teaching their kids better morals," adding he would not let any of his kids interact with gay and trans individuals "or be that way." MTV did not mention if Eason's firing would affect Evans' future appearances on the program.

Eason's fellow cast member, Kailyn Lowry, is one of the people who couldn't be more thrilled to see him out of the show.

"The knife and balloon incident was enough for me. But I'm so glad MTV drew the line," said the mother of three. Reports note that she was referring to the incident that took place during an October taping of "Teen Mom 2." Eason unexpectedly pulled out a knife and used it to pop balloons at the time — much to the cast and crew's surprise.

Soon after MTV released their statement, Evans defended her husband and told TMZ that he was not aware of "how offensive people would get or how Twitter even works." She went on to explain that Eason had just realized how strong his social media presence is, which led him to deactivate his account.

In addition, Evans said her spouse "doesn't hate people from the LGBT community." The MTV celebrity pointed out that her former manager was gay and Eason got along with him well, even calling them "close friends." She ended her statement with an apology for the comments Eason made.
