Based on trailers alone, season 5 of "Teen Wolf" is, hands down, the most forbidding thus far. Senior year for Scott and the pack will literally be bloody and their fear of becoming separated from each other after graduation is the goal their enemies want to pull off early.

Executive producer Russell Mulcahy recently told People that the season premiere is "probably one of the scariest, action-packed episodes" they have ever worked on. He quickly added that it might also be "one of the most emotional episodes we've done for a while."

This is because "it really deals with the characters' hearts and emotions and the trials that they're going through." From what the showrunner revealed, it looks like the season 5 premiere will make for an explosive return.

What makes this even more exciting is that some familiar faces fans haven't seen in a while will show up in the new season. Unfortunately, Mulcahy did not give any clue on who those characters are, but he did narrow down the list of choices with the help of Holland Roden, who plays Lydia.

"As far as actors coming back, there's always so many different forms in which they can come back, but that's all I'll say," Roden told People, with Mulcahy adding, "The people that didn't die, there's a chance they may come back. But I don't think we raise from the dead."

Meanwhile, the identities of the big baddies in the upcoming season and their motives for troubling Scott and the gang remain difficult to figure out. What is simply known is that they are incredibly dangerous and definitely deadly.

Scott and Stiles will have to ""watch their pack" in "Teen Wolf" season 5, which premieres on MTV on June 29 and June 30 with "Creatures of the Night" and "Parasomnia."
