"Teen Wolf" season 5 hasn't seen Kira (Arden Cho) since episode 8, where she left off in order to tame the spirit of the fox that was kept inside of her. However, she appeared in episode 12, and according to a report from Cartermatt, she will be the main focus again in episode 13, titled "Codominance."

Many fans speculate that the title is a referrence to Kira's fight to keep the fox controlled and that by the end of the episode the two may come to a mutual agreement, allowing them both to reside peacefully in the same vessel.

The episode, as per TVLine reveals, will be set in the New Mexico desert. This is where Kira has been spending her time honing her skills and the powers of the fox spirit. However, in order to completely control it, the report cites she will be undergoing several tests, one of which will involve an Oni demon.

In Japanese folklore, Oni is a word that references ogre-like demons. They are often attributed to disasters and other kinds of mishaps and are generally seen as mischievous beings. In the case of "Teen Wolf" where demons and the supernatural are common, the arrival of an Oni is one step above the norm.

As a matter of fact, the report cites that Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) will be throwing up upon the mere mention of an Oni demon testing Kira's abilities, which gives an insight on how dangerous and rare an Oni demon is in the world of "Teen Wolf."

Stiles won't be alone in his journey to help Kira come back from training. According to the report, he will be joining up with Scott (Tyler Posey) and the episode will see the two re-forging their friendship. It is further explained that this episode will give the appropriate time for the two to settle their issues with each other without stealing the spotlight from Kira.

"Teen Wolf" season 5 episode 13, "Codominance," will air this Jan. 19.
