The first few episodes of "Teen Wolf" season 5B have seen main character Scott (Tyler Posey) re-forge his alliance with his old friend Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and the two have been working to bring their group back together. But episode 14 will see Malia (Shelley Hennig) go her own way and even forge her own alliance with someone else.

According to the official synopsis from Cartermatt, the next episode, titled "The Sword and the Spirit," will see Malia team up with someone to save Deaton (Seth Gilliam) from the Desert Wolf. A report from the IB Times points out that it may in fact be Theo (Cody Christian) and this is later proven when the official promo trailer for the episode launched.

The report cites that back in episode 13, Theo revealed he knew how the Dread Doctors were tracking people down and it is likely that he will be using their very own method in order to track down Deaton and save him from the Desert Wolf.

A scene from the official promo trailer reveals that Theo will get the Desert Wolf out by using Malia, the Desert Wolf's daughter, as bait.

"Pretty much dare the Desert Wolf to come after you," he tells Malia. This may lead to a grand, action-packed showdown as Malia's mother comes out of hiding in her fully enraged form. 

However, Theo has been portrayed as someone who will do something only if there is a benefit he gets in return and episode 14 may reveal what deal Malia has struck in order to gain his aid. Fans of the series will recall that Theo is busy with his own manhunt as he is looking for Deucalion (Gideon Emery). It is possible she will aid him later.

Lastly, the trailer also hints that more details regarding the Beast will be told in "The Sword and the Spirit" but it is unsure if the Beast itself will make an appearance.

"Teen Wolf" season 5 episode 14 will air this Jan. 26.
