Teen Wolf Season 5 episode 1 premiere 'Creatures of the Night'

Teen Wolf MTV

With Tyler Hoechlin's departure from Teen Wolf, it only makes sense for the opening title sequence for the new season to get a makeover. Season 5's premiere episode will air on Monday at 10 p.m. ET and can be watched on MTV or online through live stream via the link below.

Fans are already excited for the upcoming brand new Season Five for Teen Wolf, and their excitement has been all the more fueled by Entertainment Weekly featuring the opening title sequence, giving clear hints as to what can be expected from the new season.

The teaser clip features a few notable differences, aside from the fact that Tyler's character Derek won't be coming back as a regular, the new title sequence shows his replacement, Dylan Sprayberry. Sprayberry has officially joined the pack as he was featured in the opening for the first time.

Another notable difference is the kiss — which makes its comeback in the opening, except that this time, Allison's not in the picture and the kiss is between Scott and new girlfriend, Kira.

The opening clip also shows the Dread Doctors appearing now and then, which likely suggests that they will be on the show for a while.

According to a report from Design Trend, these villains may stick around and "evolve", bringing in even more terror to the show.

That won't be enough of a teaser from the Doctors because there's always the curiosity as to what hides behind their mask, which is something that remains uncertain until season 6, according to director Russell Mulcahy.

What's clear for now is that Tyler Posey, Dylan O'Brien, Holland Roden, Arden Cho, Shelley Hennig and Dylan Sprayberry appear on the opening title.

Teen Wolf Season 5, episode one will air on Monday, June 29, at 10 p.m. under the title "Creatures of the Night," which is directed by Mulcahy and written by Jeff Davis. The second episode will air the following night at 9 p.m under the title "Parasomnia." The show can be watched online through live stream by clicking here.
