Big changes are coming in Beacon Hills once "Teen Wolf" begins its fifth season.

During the show's press conference stint at PaleyFest 2015 Wednesday, series creator Jeff Davis and some of the cast members of the show teased that a lot of new things will happen in season 5. According to Davis, the theme for this season is "all about the senior year, and it's about the fear of losing your friends after graduation." He also mentioned that there is a lot in store for Liam (Dylan Sprayberry), Kira (Arden Cho), as well as the friendship between Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and Scott (Tyler Posey).

Davis said during the PaleyFest panel that the show's production is constantly trying to challenge themselves to improve their craft, and they will include more horror and action this season.

Regarding Lydia (Holland Roden) and Stiles' involvement with each other, the series creator teased that the two will still work together all throughout the new season. However, the show creator chose not to divulge more information regarding the course of their friendship. He did say during an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the premiere episode of "Teen Wolf" season 5 will be all about Lydia, and she might have a new love interest that fans of the show never considered before.

But the biggest news about the upcoming season of MTV's teen-oriented horror comedy-drama is Tyler Hoechlin's move from series regular to recurring cast member. Davis shared that the actor, who portrays the role of Derek, told him earlier that he is ready to explore new things beyond "Teen Wolf."

"He said he felt like he was at a point in his career where he wanted to try new things, things that scare him, but wasn't quite ready to let go of the family he created on 'Teen Wolf.' So I talked to the network about it, and creatively we decided that it was a good time to refocus Season 5 on the teens of Teen Wolf," Davis said.

But fans should not worry about missing Derek in the show since the character will still appear from time to time in Beacon Hills.

"Teen Wolf" season 5 will premiere on June 29 on MTV.
