'Teen Wolf' season 5 spoilers: Theo asserts Alpha power over Corey

Theo will ready his chimera pack for a war with the wolves in "Teen Wolf" season 5B. MTV

The resurrected chimeras will need all the help they can get to bring back their humanity in the upcoming season of MTV's hit series "Teen Wolf."

Entertainment Weekly reports that a kind of darkness has seeped within Corey (Michael Johnston), Hayden (Victoria Moroles), Josh (Henry Zaga) and Tracy (Kelsey Chow) after undergoing the Dread Doctors' experiment. Apparently, the villains changed them so drastically they no longer resemble their old supernatural selves. Creator Jeff Davis revealed that for the chimeras to remember how they were before, someone should remind them of their humanity.

Based on the hints he let slip in the interview, it looks like that difficult job will fall on Mason (Khylin Rhambo) and Liam's (Dylan Sprayberry) shoulders. The two will reportedly draw their friends away from Theo (Cody Christian), who has come to assert his Alpha will on them. The two-faced villain is surely planning an all-out attack in Beacon Hills and he needs his pack for the job.

Meanwhile, Johnston told My Fanbase how life has changed for character being one of the newest members of Theo's chimera pack. The last time viewers saw him was when Theo brought him to life after the Dread Doctors left him dead in a puddle of mercury.

"Dying and coming back to life seems like it would take quite a toll on someone. I'm sure Corey is fearful of what might happen to him next. Corey seems like he wouldn't hurt a fly. I wonder what will happen when Theo starts ordering him around."

As for Scott (Tyler Posey), he and Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) will work together to reunite their pack that Theo successfully destroyed. Things are still topsy-turvy for the wolf brothers, with their friendship hanging on balance after that eventful falling out last season. But no matter what is happening between them, they need to get their acts together and join the pack once again in time to defend Beacon Hills from Theo and the Dread Doctors.

"Teen Wolf" Season 5B is scheduled to return on MTV in January 2016.
