"Teen Wolf" is officially coming to an end. As reported by Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Jeff Davis and the cast of the show made the announcement during the "Teen Wolf" panel at the San Diego Comic Con. According to Davis, episode 100 will serve as the series' finale, and fortunately for fans, actor Dylan O'Brien will be big part of it.

It was not explained why the show was ending, although fans did speculate that it might have to do with O'Brien being unable to continue filming given that he was injured while filming for "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure," limiting his role in the series. This rumor was quickly put out by Davis, who confirmed O'Brien has a large role in season 6.

"Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season's mystery revolves around him. We're going to see just what Stiles' friendship means to Scott, Lydia, and Malia," he stated. "We're going to see why exactly he's Scott's best friend, what it means that he's Malia's human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won't-they relationship is with Lydia."

Bustle further points out that this is a crucial part for season 6 to succeed. Stiles (O'Brien) is one of the main anchors of the show, along with Scott (Tyler Posey), Lydia (Holland Roden) and Malia (Shelley Hennig). One of the main plot points of the show is the friendship between Scott and Stiles and it is stated that it would be difficult to end the show without either one present.

Peter (Ian Bohen) is also confirmed to return and his relationship with Scott and Stiles will also be further explored, given that Peter had been presumed dead for some time before he made a sudden comeback in season 5.

"Teen Wolf" season 6 will premiere this November.
