As previously reported, actor Dylan O'Brien has been injured on set while filming stunts for "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure" and the extent of his injuries have delayed production. According to Ecumenical News, this may require O'Brien to be momentarilly replaced on "Teen Wolf" season 6 and there are now rumors of who is set to step in and take his place.

According to the report, there are rumors spreading that One Direction singer Harry Styles may be coming in to replace O'Brien as Stiles Stilinski. This all stems from a report from Capital FM that confirmed Styles had cut off his hair, presumably in preparation for the upcoming acting roles he is working on.

It is unsure if this is only a temporary replacement, which can be explained with supernatural plot devices, or if Styles is permanently taking over the role. It is also undetermined if Styles is coming in as an entirely new character that will fill in the shoes of Stiles Stilinski until the latter can return.

The report does point out that at this time neither the studios nor Harry Styles has confirmed the rumors and it is possible that Styles will have nothing to do with "Teen Wolf" season 6 and that the studios will simply work the schedule around O'Brien's recovery to ensure he can still portray his character on the show.

A previous report also pointed out that Stiles Stilinski may simply be killed off, allowing MTV to film season 6 without his inclusion, and then revive him later on when the actor becomes available. The show is no stranger to supernatural events and the return of dead characters, making this fan theory a possibility.

Production for "Teen Wolf" season 6 is currently ongoing and it is undetermined how affected filming is by O'Brien's injuries. No release date has yet been announced.
