"Teen Wolf" season 6 is set to be the final season for the show and it is bound to shake up the formula a little bit as actress Holland Roden reveals that the show may take some cues from the popular Netflix series, "Stranger Things."

"If you like Stranger Things season one, I think that showrunner and our showrunner are the same person," the actress explained during an interview with the Daily Mail during the MTV Video Music Awards.

It is important to note that the showrunner for the two shows are not the same person, as "Teen Wolf" is handled by Jeff Davis while "Stranger Things" is primarily run by the Duffer brothers. However, her statement does point out that the two shows will be very similar and that in essence they could have been made by the same person.

With "Teen Wolf" season 6 sharing similarities with "Stranger Things" there is a wide range of possibilities regarding how the show will be different for its finale. Fans speculate it is merely a shift in tone and that season 6 will still be recognizable as a "Teen Wolf" show instead of directly ripping off "Stranger Things."

However, Ecumenical News points out that certain elements from "Stranger Things" might be taken into the show. The Netflix series mixed in a lot of 1980's pop culture, government conspiracies and people unaware of the supernatural investigating the supernatural but it also had a good amount of superpowers, something familiar for "Teen Wolf."

"Stranger Things" had the character Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) who had the power of psychokinesis. She could move things with the power of her mind and using her powers she could also hear or see people even when they are miles away from her. It is possible that "Teen Wolf" season 6 will be introducing psychokinesis as well.

"Teen Wolf" season 6 premieres on Nov. 15.
