A new character for the upcoming "Tekken 7" fighting game from Bandai Namco has been announced, and she is called "Lucky Chloe." 

The new character, which was revealed by "Tekken's" main man Katsuhiro Harada during the 20th anniversary of the hugely popular game franchise, will come in a form of a breakdancing catgirl. The first images of Lucky Chloe shows that she is a teenage girl who always wears a kitten-themed costume complete with tails, paws, and cat ears in pink, black, and white colors. 

Yet it seems like not everyone is fond of Lucky Chloe's peculiar get-up. Several avid "Tekken" fans commented that the new Japanese-inspired character is very generic and lacks creativity. Others, on the other hand, said that "Tekken" tends to gear toward characters that are designed based on the outlandish Japanese fashion. 

But the game's creative director clarified that Lucky Chloe is not Japanese, although she is an avid fan of the of the country's fashion and culture. That is why Harada decided to address the fans' concerns, and posted his defense for creating Lucky Chloe through his recent Twitter posts. 

When a player from North America asked if the new game will offer an option to remove some characters from the roster, including Lucky Chloe, Harada simply said: "Calm down and Don't worry. That character are East Asia and Europe 'Exclusive'. and I'll say again. We've more new characters on TK7. She is JUST one of them. and She will be country exclusive (or region exclusive) character. We don't include her for your region. That's why I said Calm down and Don't worry. RT@Ulect Please add a option to delete any character you do not want to play against in Arcade battle like Lucky Chloe please!!!!" 

But when another user said that there will not be any problems if Bandai Namco Games will bring Lucky Chloe to America, Harada said: "Hey, don't misunderstand. Remind: I said 'If you need = I'll release. If you don't need = I don't release'. I said that before, right? It's very simple thing and nothing else. It's YOUR community's choice. I'm just hearing the demand & request ..."

Harada further said that they are very busy at the moment because the game isn't done yet.  He explained that they are focusing on the arcade version of "Tekken 7" and when that's done, there would be more time to address such issues.

"Tekken 7" is scheduled to be released in Japanese arcades in February 2015.
