'Tekken 7' release date PS4: titles coming to Xbox One and PS4 early next year

"Tekken 7" is officially console and PC-bound.Bandai Namco Entertainment

"Tekken 7" was always bound to be released to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC, but it is only this time that developer Bandai Namco Entertainment finally announces a time frame.

The fighting game will be released to all three platforms early next year. Bandai Namco lists the release date of the $59.99 title for the consoles as "early 2017," the same as Steam.

Bandai Namco has promised "Tekken 7" to get the PS4, Xbox One and PC treatment since the fall of last year, with series producer Katsuhiro Harada even teasing "special content" for the Sony console.

"When the game makes the leap from arcades to console, it will be the most complete and enhanced version up to date," Harada said as quoted by Destructoid.

When "Tekken 7" makes the jump to the consoles and PC, Bandai promises the game to "deliver numerous modes and enhancements beyond its arcade counterpart."

This includes an "epic" story mode, which should allow players of all platforms to discover the extent of the popular fighting game's canon storyline.

"Tekken 7" happens to be the stage of the epic conclusion of the Mishima feud, which has gone long enough (it has already been two decades) to put the world in grave danger.

"Tekken 7" PS4, Xbox One and PC use the Unreal Engine, which should allow for "intense fighting moments to players of all ranks thanks to stunning cinematics woven into gameplay."

There will be 30 characters in the roster including the demonic and ruthless villain Akuma, who crosses over from Capcom's "Street Fighter" hunting for Kazumi.

There will also be new battle mechanics and moves such including the Rage Arts, Power Crushes and Rage Drives. All things considered, Techno Buffalo, "Tekken 7" looks solid on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
