The next downloadable content (DLC) update for Bandai Namco's popular fighting video game "Tekken 7" will feature another exciting cross-over. This time around, SNK's Geese Howard from the "Fatal Fury" and "King of Fighters" universe will join the current roster. The Japanese game studio did not specify the exact release of the new DLC character, although latest reports claim that Geese Howard will arrive as early as this week.

Bandai Namco earlier teased that Geese Howard will the included in the "Tekken 7" roster in winter 2017. With this, the DLC is expected to drop anytime until December. However, Comic Book reported that the next content pack might be released sooner than everyone has thought. The online publication cited two Twitter users who claimed to have figured out the release date of an upcoming DLC based on a few hints. For one, Flying_Wonkey spotted the early listing of the content pack on Xbox One, while xray2k1 mentioned the studio's recent notice about the new game updates.

Based on these hints, Comic Book believes that the next DLC update for "Tekken 7" featuring Geese Howard will be out this week. Fans are expecting that the DLC will be up at a later time this December, but if the rumors are actually correct, Geese will finally become playable before the end of the month.

GameSpot got an early preview to the upcoming "Tekken 7" DLC, which teased the fighting style and techniques of Geese Howard in the game. Those who are familiar with the character's profile in other SNK fighting games will easily recognize Geese's intro music and stage. According to "Tekken 7" producer Katsuhiro Harada and game designer Michael Murray, the game's version of Geese will serve as a tribute to the original "Fatal Fury" series. Still, the DLC character will have the distinct elements of a Tekken fighter.

There were a number of cross-over characters that the "Tekken 7" creators have in mind to introduce in the next DLC, but Geese took the spot as Harada thought of him as an "incredible villain," and even the fans who heard him talking about the character in an interview agreed with him. It was only a matter of time when SNK representatives approached Bandai Namco to make the cross-over possible.
