The arcade tests for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will be happening next month in Japan, which indicates that the arcade versions of the much awaited ninth instalment of the popular action fighting game should come anytime soon.

According to the official website of "Tekken," the tests are said to take place from Feb. 12 to 14, 2016 across the Japan region, specifically in Namco Sugamo in Tokyo, Round One Stadium Sennichimae arcade in Osaka and Namco's Hakata Bus Terminal arcade in Fukuoka. If tests prove to be successful, then that could mean that the release of the game in arcades should occur within months after the test run.

The gaming console versions, however, may take some time to see a launch, but gamers are optimistic that console versions for Playstation 4 and Xbox One will come before the end of 2016. N4BB further shares that rumors have also been going around that a support for virtual reality may be a possibility via the PlayStation VR, though it's not what gamers expect.

"Tekken 7" on PlayStation VR will not necessarily allow game play in the first person, but will simply include a support for viewing in virtual reality, still in third person view.

"Tekken 7" will include a new set of characters including Shaheen, Lucky Chloe, Josie Rizal, Jack-7, Kazumi Mishima, Katarina Alves and Claudio Serafino. One of the most awaited updates to the next generation of the "Tekken" game is the addition of Akuma, who originally comes from Capcom's "Street Fighter" series. A video posted by Tekken Channel shows some of Akuma's moves which are very much faithful to the Capcom version of the character.

New fight modes, battle scenes and outfits are also anticipated, as well as updates to the look and playing feel of existing characters.
