Developer Bandai Namco has a treat for fans. A "Final Fantasy XV" character is going to arrive in the fighting game "Tekken 7" through a downloadable content (DLC).

The news was revealed through a trailer on Sunday, Nov. 12. The clip showed Noctis Lucis Caelum from "Final Fantasy XV" as he talked with Lars over the phone, revealing that the character would be joining "Tekken 7." Noctis is set to be part of the game by spring 2018, though no specific date was mentioned.

The video teased Noctis' battle abilities and what his armor is capable of. Noctis' powers also looked promising as he fought Kuma. His trademark Engine Blade proved to be a great weapon, as the trailer showed how much damage can be caused by the sword.

Also, the trailer showed a lot of familiar faces from "Final Fantasy," which seemed to be hinting that Noctis was just the first of several characters to join "Tekken 7." The garage where the clip is set could also become a battle stage for the game.

Bandai Namco is notable for adding characters from different games to "Tekken 7." Previously, it had also added Akuma from "Street Fighter" and Geese Howard from "Fatal Fury."

In addition, Noctis is not the first character from the "Final Fantasy" franchise lent by developer Square Enix. In 2015, the company had also let Wii U game "Super Smash Bros." borrow Cloud Strife.

With over 1 million copies sold, "Tekken 7" has been warmly accepted by many players. As such, developers have been looking for ways of catching more gamers' attention, which could explain all the new and interesting DLCs. Prior to the big announcement of Bandai Namco, NetherRealm also announced that "Injustice 2" had added Hellboy and more recently, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

"Tekken 7" is currently available to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC owners.
