More information about "Tekken 7," Bandai Namco's upcoming fighter, will be reportedly unveiled in the coming week. The game publisher's Twitter account recently sent out a post in Japanese, which (thanks to Gematsu's translation) revealed that "a big announcement" will drop come July 7.

"On Tuesday, July 7, 2015, there will be a major announcement from the Tekken project, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Please look forward to it," the tweet read. Unfortunately, no mention was made about what this announcement would be about.

As for the accompanying image in the tweet, Gematsu says the words read: "Awaken, raging fist." As far as that tagline is concerned, there isn't anything that comes to mind. Good thing is that this important announcement is a few days away from being unveiled.

Gamers hope that this revelation will have something to do with the hoped-for release of "Tekken 7" to consoles, possibly the date it releases in Japan or even in the United States. There are some who think that a new challenger will simply be added to the fold.

The last time Bandai Namco talked about "Tekken 7" was when it revealed Kazumi Mishima, together with her upper-cutting tiger, would become part of the official roster and the first ever female final boss of the game. The character was seen in action in a quick-fire trailer.

Tech Times thinks this "Tekken 7" seems to be too big to simply be another character revelation. The site points out that the developer simply works to make a new fighter's entrance an average type of announcement. But what's coming on July 7 is made to look really massive.

Fans hope that Bandai Namco is finally making "Tekken vs. Street Fighter," the sequel to Capcom's crossover brawler released three years ago. Others believe it might be an update about what's keeping Bandai Namco busy.
