"Tekken 7" and its updated version "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" have been out in Japan since 2015 but Bandai Namco has yet to release the game in the U.S. According to a report from News Everyday, the game is scheduled for release later this year and a new update indicates it won't be a PS4 exclusive.

It was previously speculated that "Tekken 7" will be a PS4 exclusive given the strong relationship Bandai Namco has had with Sony in recent years and the fact that previous "Tekken" games on consoles were released solely on the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3.

However, Twitter user J.Va has posted that a Bandai Namco representative has confirmed that the game will also launch for the Xbox One and PC. According to the initial report, the Twitter user was present during the recent MCM ComicCon in London where he approached a Bandai Namco representative to get a definitive answer.

It is important to note that this information may not be true and the information could be a hoax. Bandai Namco has yet to make an offiical announcement regarding the release date of "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" for the U.S. and what consoles it will launch for.

WCCFTech reports that Bandai Namco is expected to make these announcements later this month during the E3, which will be held on June 14 to June 16. The developers will be showcasing several of their new and upcoming games and "Tekken 7" is expected to be amongst these presentations.

While a console release is still in the works, the arcade version has been present in the U.S. for the past few months but solely during competitions such as EVO 2015.

"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is the seventh in the main series and the 10th overall release if fans include "Tekken Advance," "Tekken Tag Tournament" and its sequel and "Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection." Like previous titles, it focuses on the feud between Heihachi Mishima and his family, particularly his son Kazuya and grandson Jin.
