'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution' release date news: title coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC in early 2017

The long-anticipated Electronic Entertainment Expo has already launched this week, with new updates and trailers for various games. This list includes the new "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" game that showcases the plot of the initial game's sequel. Yibada reports that Bandai Namco already released a trailer at the E3 event with the characters Akuma and Kazuya discussing and eventually dueling with each other. This suggests that the two will most probably fight at some point. The new game will be released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms.

"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will feature various new game modes, enhancements and upgrades which were previously not available in the arcade version of the game. They will have a few guest characters also included on the roster. The game will include a full and rich Story Mode that will feature the initial game's entire canon storyline. This new game will also have richer graphics with the use of the Unreal Engine 4, reports Game n Guide. There will be a 3D battle system, dynamic fighting mechanics and various new crative features all on photo-realistic visual imagery.

The new trailer was featured on the Xbox One, which highly confirms its availability on the said console. According to GameSpot, Katsuhiro Harada and Michael Murray also announced at the E3 that the game will be coming to the PC via Steam.

The game's PC version was first hinted at by Bandai Namco when Harris Interactive, on behalf of the company, surveyed gamers if they were interested in getting a "Tekken" installment for their PCs. This was later teased on Twitter by the game's roducer, Harada. Later on, their community and brand advisor, Mark Julio, announced that this new game will be released to be available on the PC, the PS4, the Xbox One and possible the new Nintendo NX.

This sequel is going to feature initial favorites like Jin, Heihachi, Kazuya, Hwoarang, Asuka, Steve Fox, Lili, Marshall Law, Xiaoyu, King, Paul Phoenix, Yoshimitsu, Feng Wei, Bryan Fury, Lars, Leo, Dragon, Alisa, and Nina Williams. They will also include the new characters Claudio Serafino, Lucky Chloe, Katarina Alves, Jack-7, Josie Rizal, Gigas, Akuma, Shaheen and Kazumi Mishima.

The storyline for this installment in the "Tekken" franchise will feature the conclusion to the 20-year Mishima blood saga. This game will finally provide an ending to the internal family feud between the members of the Mishima clan, who are all attempting to take hold of a giant empire and deal with old issues, enemies and territories.

Around mid-June of 2016, Xbox Gold members are reportedly going to receive a free copy of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. The "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" game will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam in early 2017.
