Although the expansion editions of "Tekken 7" for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC have yet to come out, speculations suggest that Bandai Namco is already thinking of upcoming DLCs for the game.

In a tweet, game director Katsuhiro Harada asked fans what they think of post-launch content for "Tekken 7." One noted tease is adding more characters to the roster, particularly Hong Kong cop Lei Wulong.

Lei is a veteran of the franchise, being introduced as far back as "Tekken 2." However, the fighting cop is likely not included in the first list of fighters for "Tekken 7." Harada himself said that Lei's usage rate in past franchise iterations is too low. However, as a veteran and as one of the known fighters in the "Tekken" franchise, the game director admits that Lei still has a chance. Since most of the fighters in "Tekken 7" have already been named, it is likely that Lei Wulong will be added as a post-launch DLC.

Reports of expansion content for the upcoming "Tekken 7" game for the consoles and Windows PC have already surfaced earlier this year. In a previous interview with Game Reactor, Harada has already hinted on post-launch content, saying that more and more players are asking for DLCs nowadays, and "Tekken" franchise fans have also voiced out their thoughts on having regularly updated content for the series.

The game director said that the clamor has started already. He said: "the players especially, are saying that they don't mind paying, that they still want to see some new content after release. So since the voices are becoming more and more larger, I guess you could say, it is something that we want to think about seriously and perhaps change our point of view."

However, Bandai Namco will need to get into the idea of post-launch DLC for "Tekken 7," since the game started out as an arcade exclusive. For arcade games, Harada believes that "... when you want to do something new, like change the gameplay mechanics or content, you release a different package."

"Tekken 7" is expected to come out to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC early next year.
