The upcoming platform expansion for "Tekken 7" has added another character, as publisher Bandai Namco confirms Miguel will return as one of the playable characters next year.

In its announcement, Bandai Namco also included a new highlight trailer for the character. According to the publisher, the Spanish fighter is a well-put character for the upcoming platform expansion of "Tekken 7," since "Vengeance and redemptions are key plot-points in the TEKKEN series and no other character's storyline embodies these themes than Miguel Caballero Rojo."

Miguel's backstory continues on seeking revenge for the loss in his family. The synopsis adds, "After losing his sister in an airstrike ordered by the Mishima Zaibatsu, Miguel's life has since been consumed with exacting revenge upon the Mishima clan. His heavy-handed fighting style and unrelenting drive for vengeance are powerful weapons when wielded by the right player."

Meanwhile, as what hardcore fans of the series may have observed, Miguel Rojo will continue on with his hybrid style of fighting. Instead of a discipline-themed gameplay, the video showcases Miguel's strong attacks from both close and long-range fights, with a combination of fighting styles. It can be said that instead of well-thought fighting form, Miguel's stances, as well as offense and defense, rely on heavy-handed street brawling.

Miguel will join other confirmed characters included in the game port, fighting against Heihachi, Lucky Chloe, and Shaheen among others. He may also be pitted against Akuma from "Street Fighter," the only non-franchise character in "Tekken 7."

Prior to the Bandai Namco trailer reveal, it is already expected that Miguel will be one of the fighters for the upcoming "Tekken 7" port. Forbes has observed that the fighter has already been unlocked in the "Fated Retribution" game expansion in the arcade, the original platform for "Tekken 7."

"Tekken 7" and "Fated Retribution" are expected to come out for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC sometime early next year.
