"Tekken 7" has been out for Japanese arcades since early 2015, but it has yet to see a proper release in the West. A proper English port is scheduled for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One in early 2017, and now, series producer Katsuhiro Harada reveals what additions and changes fans can expect with the home port of the game.

Harada, who spoke to Gamespot while attending the North American finals of this year's "King of the Iron Fist Tournament," revealed that they were aiming to give the same experience from the arcade to those playing at home. He stated this has always been their tradition ever since the early days of the franchise.

"Obviously we don't want to change the formula people expect. That said, with all the 'Tekken' games, we always add extra content. One of the big features is the story mode, in addition to the arcade mode. Other modes, for example, consistent of some type of gallery that allow you to catch up on story elements of the past installments," he explained.

Harada also explained that in the past the developers focused first on porting the game to Sony's consoles, whether they be the Playstation 2 or the Playstation 3. This time, however, the developers included the PC from the get-go, meaning the PC port will be designed specifically for that platform instead of being a rushed port.

When asked if fans can expect a Nintendo Switch port, he only stated that they too were surprised when Nintendo unveiled the product. He did not state anything further, neither confirming nor denying if a Switch version would release int he future.

On a side note, Harada was also asked if Akuma's involvement in "Tekken 7" meant there was hope for "Tekken x Street Fighter." In response he only stated fans should stay tuned, hinting that an announcement was coming in the future. The game would be a follow-up to "Street Fighter x Tekken," which was developed by Capcom.
