"TellTale Games Batman," an adventure game coming from the same developers that made the "The Walking Dead" adventure games, now has an official release window. Job Stauffer, the Head of Creative Communications for TellTale Games, has announced via Twitter that the game launches this Summer. 

Officially titled "Batman - The TellTale Series," the game will be using an updated version of the game engine the developers have used for "The Walking Dead" season 2, "Minecraft: Story Mode" and "The Wolf Among Us." It will also follow more closely the style and story of the graphic novels than the recent video games, movies and cartoons.

According to IGN, a follow-up post from Stauffer also reveals that the game's version of Batman will be unveiled at this year's E3, which takes place from June 14 to June 16. It is speculated that TellTale Games will present a video presentation of the game in action, showcasing both the Bruce Wayne segments and the Batman segments.

Gamespot also reports that players can choose to play solely as Batman first or solely as Bruce Wayne. However, CEO Kevin Bruner did confirm that the players will need to play as both to progress through the game and finish the story. 

It is further explained that Bruce Wayne's story will focus primarily on handling Wayne Enterprises, Gotham City politics and other daylight activities. Batman's story will take place at night and will involve taking down the city's villains. The identity of the main villain has not yet been revealed. 

Alfred Pennyworth, the reporter Vicki Vale, Police Commissioner Jim Gordon and Officer Renee Montoya are all said to make an appearance. The game is also said to take influence from the graphic novels but is not going to directly adapt any of the popular stories. 

The announcement also confirms that "The Walking Dead" season 3 will premiere in the fall.
