The New York Jets have a real opportunity of making this season's Playoffs. They are currently second in the AFC East with a 7-5 record, behind the 10-2 New England Patriots.

Below the Jets are the chasing Buffalo Bills who are on 6-6 and the Miami Dolphins who are on 5-7.

If the Jets are to make the Playoff and grab a Wild Card spot it is games like today's that they simply must win. They play a Titans team lagging in the basement of the AFC South with just three wins to their name this entire season. If the Jets are to make the postseason they must best teams with poor 3-9 records.

If the Jets can win today it will be their first three game win streak for four years. To do so they will be hoping that Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brandon Marshall can continue their excellent form together.

Todd Bowles has said about the paid: "They're both good football players. They have a chemistry. Obviously they've been in the league for awhile. They've found a calm. At certain points in a career, if you've played long enough, you find calm and peace within yourself and you grow as a person."

He added, "You understand what team is, you understand what winning is. I think those two hit it at the right time."

Earlier in Week 14 in the NFL regular season, the Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals faced off on Thursday Night Football in a game full of drama and late twists.

The Cardinals came into the game as favorites, but the Vikings refused to give in and wouldn't fall away despite Arizona's best efforts.

A late rally in the final quarter saw Minnesota almost come back to take the game into overtime, and with just seconds to go they had moved into a perfect field goal position, which would have leveled the scores.

However, Dwight Freeney stripped the ball from Teddy Bridgewater with five seconds to play in a hugely disappointing ending for the Vikings. The turnover deprived Minnesota the opportunity to take the game to overtime and allowed the Cardinals to clinch a Playoff berth that night.

NFL fans across the country were held on the edge of their seats as the Vikings pulled back from 10 points down in the final quarter and when Bridgewater moved the Vikings to the 31 yard line with what should have been the final drive in the fourth it looked like the game would be heading to a mouthwatering overtime showdown.

But as Bridgewater went to throw the ball, Freeney managed to get a hand onto the quarterback's arm mid-throw to knock the ball loose. Calls Campbell punched on the loose ball and the game was dramatically and suddenly over.

It would be harsh to blame Bridgewater for the ending, seeing as the Vikings' comeback was very much based on his good work. The quarterback ended the game passing for 335 yards and a touchdown. Carson Palmer threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns for the Cardinals.
