The Tesla Model S and Model X are currently out in the market and have received positive feedback from loyal fans. Now, a report from Car and Driver reveals that the upcoming Model 3 will shake things up with a signfiicant design change, lower price tag and paid Supercharging.

According to the report, Tesla's Elon Musk claims that the Model 3 will have a significantly large interior space in relation to its exterior dimensions and this can be seen with the very tall roof and sleek, curved back rear window. The front seats are designed with more wiggle-room and large arm rests but the back seats suffer a little by having less space.

The report points out that the interior design of the dashboard is also looking far more impressive than past models, particularly with the large 15-inch touchscreen monitor in the center. One of the only issues stated in the report is that the backseats are constricted due to the bottom-placed battery packs of the car.

As stated, Tesla has been silent regarding the actual details of the vehicle. The material used for the car are still unknown although the report's own tests indicate that the exteriors are not primarily made of steel. The power of the engine is also a mystery although it is rumored to be able to go from 0 to 60 MPH in less than six seconds.

In a report from The Week, Tesla also revealed that the Model 3 will now charge customers for Supercharging. At the time being this service is available for owners of the Tesla Model S and the Model X and there is both a free and premium package.

Supercharging a Tesla vehicle for merely 30 minutes is already enough to get the car going for another 170 miles which is reportedly a far better deal than what most consumers pay for gas. The report speculates that there will be a paid package for the Model 3 that is still significantly cheaper than buying gas for a gas-powered vehicle.
