The Tesla Model 3 has been experiencing manufacturing problems, which has caused a delay in the targeted number of units and release date for the upcoming vehicle. This has been quite disappointing for car enthusiasts everywhere, especially since the product is set to be the first mass available car in the line of Elon Musk's eco-friendly vehicles.

In a report by BMW Blog, the delay has been mainly caused by issues in the manufacturing process. Thus, the hype for the product has been suffering ever since the reports of complications have surfaced early in October.

The first red flag the company had experienced was caused by rumors that the first wave of Tesla Model 3 cars sent out to customers had been allegedly "hand-made" and not machine assembled.

After the news of this had come out, some investors had slowly been withdrawing from the product, which could potentially tarnish the company's general good standing. According to Investor Place, if Tesla does not find a solution soon, then the advantageous gap that it has over other competitors might end up becoming slimmer.

Competitors Mercedes Benz and BMW could use this time difference to catch up at the market with their own brand of electric powered vehicles that might just give Tesla a run for their money. One of the speculated reasons as to why Tesla is experiencing manufacturing concerns is due to the change in materials, according to Inside Car News. From an aluminum build, the Tesla 3 is going for more steel which is a material that is less malleable.

Additional concerns raised outside of manufacturing involve a number of employees who had been fired due to poor performance reviews. According to Barron's Next, hundreds of workers were let go but Tesla is firm on stating that these had barely anything to do with manufacturing faults. The good news for the company is that investors still have faith in them despite the hiccups that they have undergone as of late.
