Tesla Model 3 is about to come out, but people are still asking questions about the car and the company's future. To answer these questions, Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared a few words about the company. He discussed the Model 3, the Tesla pick-up, and other plans.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Musk shared details about their other cars and future goals.

Musk said that Model 3 is "close to the bullseye," sharing that everything is now prepared for their first mass-produced car. From the welding to the paint shop, everything is coming together and he couldn't see any reason why they will not be able to start production in July. He explained that they are "exceeding 5,000 units a week by the end of the year."

Regarding the company's future, Musk also talked about their future cars.

The CEO introduced the Model Y as the next-generation car for Model 3. The compact SUV will follow Model 3 and is planned to be released in the late 2019 or 2020. According to Musk, that Model Y will be built on a new concept, surprising many people. After all, building an entirely new car takes longer and costs more than just rebranding or just tweaking an old model. However, Musk is enthusiastic, as he thinks that Tesla will be able to keep up, especially in production with their new robotic manufacturing.

Another vehicle tied to the future of Tesla is their recently announced semi truck. However, car enthusiasts will know that the CEO never really talked much about it. Musk clarified that the semi and the pickup "are not going to be separated that widely in time." He knows the people's expectations and said that the semi will not be as complicated as everybody thinks.

Tesla Model 3 was first unveiled last March and the Limited Model 3 production will start in July.
