The Tampa Bay Rays and the Texas Rangers will face off in the first MLB extra game for four years on Monday night to determine who will get the playoff birth via the wild card slot.

The game will start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched on TBS, or online via the link provided below.

The Cleveland Indians of course have the top American League wild-card spot, which means they will get to host Wednesday's actual wild card game against whoever wins Monday's extra game.

Tonight's big game between the Rangers and the Rays will take place at Arlington, Texas, and will be the first of its kind since Minnesota beat Detroit in 2009 for the AL Central championship.

Tampa Bay won on Sunday by a nose, defeating Toronto 7-6 in a dramatic game in which they almost gave away the game after scoring six in their first inning. The drama was intense as reliever Fernando Rodney left the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth after Toronto had made an amazing comeback to within one run.

Meanwhile, the Rangers have managed to keep their chances alive by ending the season with seven straight wins to tie level with the Rays. They completed their four game sweep of the Los Angeles Angels with a 6-2 victory on Sunday night.
