Thanksgiving Traffic Updates

While Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for blessings of the harvest, and a time to eat good food and spend time with friends and family, it is undeniably a time of heavy traffic as well.

People have groceries to do and places to be, and getting stuck in a traffic jam is never on anyone's to-do list. It brings about unnecessary frustration alongside uncomfortably long waiting times, but thankfully, several news sites have been tracking the flow of traffic in order to keep the public informed and in order to aid them during their travels this Thanksgiving 2017.

According to Alexandria News, the worst time to travel on Nov. 21 in Chicago is at 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The worst time to travel in San Francisco is 4:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. The worst time to travel in Los Angeles is 3:15 p.m. to 6: 00 p.m. The worst time to travel in Boston is 5:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. The worst time to travel to New York is 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The worst time to travel in Washington is 4:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. And the worst time to travel in Seattle is 3:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The traffic news doesn't extend to only Nov. 21 but to Nov. 22 as well.

On Nov. 22, the worst time to travel in Atlanta is 3:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. while the worst time to travel in Houston is 5:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. According to Alexandria News, traveling during those hours on those specific days will most likely lead to travelers getting stuck in traffic and getting delayed.

Fortune also reports on the same issues, stating that this year, the number of people traveling will most likely be the highest it's been in the past 12 years. Fortune states that there will be reported over 50million people traveling this Thanksgiving 2017.

While the roads will be packed with the cars, the airports will be packed with people.
