Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) predicament in the Iron Heights penitentiary in "The Flash" season 4 continues to worsen as the meta-prisoners are on the verge of being auctioned to Amunet Black (Katee Sackhoff). What is more unfortunate is the comeback of Clifford DeVoe (Neil Sandilands), also known as The Thinker, who raised hell in the previous episode to steal some metahuman powers. In episode 14, titled "Subject 9," The Thinker poses a new threat as he takes control of the body of Becky Sharpe/Hazard (Sugar Lyn Beard).
As reported by Comic Book, "The Flash" season 4 episode 14 will see a different side of The Thinker as he occupies the body of a petite and blonde metahuman. The online publication compared DeVoe's stint as Hazard in the upcoming episode with the female version of The Fiddler, another classic villain from the comics storyline. As Hazard, DeVoe will be playing a much more colorful role as a female country artist — albeit his music will pose danger to anyone who can hear it. Nevertheless, The Thinker/Hazard will introduce a lighter touch when it comes to "The Flash" villains.
To recap the previous episode of "The Flash" season 4, Barry decided to make an alliance with the other captured metahumans inside the Iron Heights penitentiary, who were about to be sold off to Amunet. In the process, the hero learned more about Hazard, who expressed her desire to become a better person after being imprisoned. Hazard became of one Barry's opponents when the former used her power to commit crimes. Unfortunately, her chance to redeem herself was cut short when The Thinker barged into the black-market deal and killed all the meta-humans, including Hazard.
DeVoe found the opportunity to steal more meta powers upon learning about Amunet's business inside the Iron Heights penitentiary. In the case of Hazard, DeVoe did not only kill and take away her powers, but the villain also possessed her body. In "The Flash" season 4 episode 14, it will be interesting to see Barry deal with The Thinker, who is now a powerful and attractive female meta-human.
"The Flash" season 4 episode 14 will air after a three-week hiatus. The new episode will be released on Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
