'The Sims 4' DLC release date, news, rumors: EA customer representative teases 'Seasons' expansion
Electronic Arts (EA) has yet to share hints regarding the next downloadable content (DLC) pack for "The Sims 4." The game studio has been rather active over the past several months in providing fresh and exciting contents for the players of the life-simulating video game. According to the latest reports, EA is preparing for the "Seasons" DLC, as leaked by a customer service representative.
An avid fan of "The Sims 4" known as TBAF posted a screenshot of the conversation with an EA customer service representative. The fan asked the representative if the game will feature another expansion pack in the near future. Specifically, the possibility of having the "Seasons" DLC was brought up, and the customer representative said that EA's developer team is indeed working on it. The representative added that the players will be notified once "Seasons" is up and ready.
TBAF, who is an active member of "The Sims 4" online community and a YouTuber, has been suspecting that EA would eventually launch the "Seasons" DLC sometime this year. To note, "The Sims 4" was released almost four years ago with up to 23 expansion packs included in the game, but the players have always wanted to experience the change of season. Aside from living in realistic apartments and penthouses, and going to exhilarating world adventures, life simulation will not be complete without the snow, blossoming plants, sunny skies and dried maple leaves.
Unfortunately, the exchange of interaction with an EA customer service representative may not be enough to confirm that "The Sims 4: Seasons" is coming up. In fact, a closer investigation shows that the customer service staff could only be looking for answers through Google. It is possible that he got the idea of the "Seasons" DLC by reading up "The Sims 4" fan discussion forums, and he has no firsthand information of EA's plans for future expansion packs.
"The Sims 4: Seasons" would be the fifth expansion pack released this year following "Jungle Adventure," which is considered as the most advanced and challenging DLC yet. The players have already experienced a bunch of new DLC packs for the past year, including "Get Together," "Get to Work," "City Living" and "Cats and Dogs."
