The game developers for the "The Sims" series, Maxis and The Sims Studio, are still gauging the effects of its latest paid expansion pack to "The Sims 4." If things will really push through, the fifth game of the series could be on the boards by 2019, and that is the earliest estimate.

Game fans are well aware that Electronic Arts, the game publisher, has been vocal about the chances of having the next game, it relies on the success of the "The Sims 4." That is also the reason why the studios are constantly fixing bugs and adding expansion packs to keep the gamers happy and busy.

However, according to Movie News Guide, the fans are disappointed with the fourth installment of the game and with the latest expansion pack, "City Living." Metro UK previously reported that many fans were greatly disappointed when the toddler life stage was taken out of the current game. Fans have enjoyed this feature since "The Sims 2," and they were looking forward to it with the latest release. Two years later, fans are still wishing it was there.

The 180-Sims character limit has been an issue that was never resolved. Many game fans are now relying on mods to bypass the maximum number of characters imposed by the game. Then there is the console issue that has not arrived as promised by EA. The company has never divulged the real reason behind the delay if it is just one.

Meanwhile, fans are still optimistic that the game will endure all of this and will be able to release "The Sims 5" in the future. The companies involved are not first timers in the gaming industry, and they have survived all these years. Fans are speculating that the next game will bring in most-loved features, as well as new ones to attract game fans.

"The Sims 5" could include more personalization option to its characters, which could include more hairstyles, eye color, eyebrow options, facial expressions, skin, and even makeup. More body types are also expected, as well as more animation and adding more to its audio department. The fans' wish list is quite long.
