When "The 100" season 3 returns by the end of the month, Clarke will mourn Lexa's death and will hope not to weep for Kane's as well.

Titled "Stealing Fire," the episode cements Lexa's shocking death in the series. Clarke won't be taking it well, but she is aware that her people look to her and so she can't be weak, even in the midst of such heart-rending tragedy.

"With the loss of Lexa, she has to worry about whether or not the new commander will continue to be an ally," series creator Jason Rothenberg told TV Insider of "The 100" protagonist's disposition.

"So we'll see her doing what people do in life when terrible things happen, when tragedy strikes. She's going to suck it up and try to move on and do what she has to do to save her people," he added.

Lexa's death in "The 100" season 3 caused an outrage among fans, but the worse is yet to come. Rothenberg said that the Ground Commander is just first of the many characters biting the dust this season.

"This is going to be a crazy season...it's already been a crazy season. More characters that we love are going to die this season and it's going to happen soon," he teased.

Going back to Clarke, she still has to deal with Pike, who sentenced Kane to death. The latter is showing no signs of fear but there's no denying the fact that Kane is in a very precarious position.

Bellamy and Octavia are very much aware of that, but they can't seem to work on the same side as the latter continues to point her finger on the former, who she believes put Kane in danger in the first place.

Indeed, Bellamy has been blindly following Arkadia's new chancellor and through his help, he made it easy for Pike to get what he wants.

In the promo for the next "The 100" season 3 episode, Octavia finds it difficult to work with Bellamy. However, if they want to save Kane, they will have to set aside their differences for a while.

Whether or not they will be able to do that, fans will know when "The 100" season 3 episode 9 "Stealing Fire" airs on March 31 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
