"The 100" premieres its third season next week, and while the production has pretty much kept the details about the plot under wraps, actors Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Lindsey Morgan, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Marie Avgeropoulos managed to drop some juicy bits about The CW series.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour on Sunday, the actors teased that season 3 will focus more on the Grounders, with Debnam-Carey, who plays Lexa in the series, highlighting that the audiences will see the tribe's politics and spiritual history, according to reports.

The new season will also introduce a new character, Roan, a Grounder played by Zach McGowan. According to IGN, Taylor, who portrays Clark, said that McGowan was a pleasant co-star.

"He has such a presence about him," she said, adding that her character and Roan has a cool dynamic as they might soon realize that "they have a lot in common in how they want the best for their people."

When it comes to the show's future, series creator Jason Rothenberg also revealed that he already has an ending for the entire story.

"I know what I want the final story to be. I don't know how long that's going to take," he said in a statement.

However, the show has yet to be picked up for another season and although it remains to be seen if The CW will renew the show for season 4, Rothenberg shared that he has more plans for the show and hopes that the show lives past this current season and beyond. Either way, the creator already has an ending in place.

While fans are waiting for "The 100's" season 3 premiere, which will be on the same night as "The Legends of Tomorrow," The CW on Friday released a new clip featuring Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes, who is guest-starring in the premiere of the post-apocalyptic series.

In the video below, Mendes is seen caught stealing and in order to escape punishment, he has to perform live. And so he does, with an emotional rendition of "Add It Up" by Violent Femmes on piano.

"The 100" season 3 will premiere on Jan. 21 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
