'The 100' season 4 spoilers: love and loss will come to Clarke and Octavia

Both Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) lost their beloved in "The 100," and season 4 will see them deal differently with their loss.

Following the death of the love of her life Lincoln (Ricky Whittle), Octavia will be on a downward spiral in "The 100" season 4. This was already shown in the final moments of the previous season when she stabbed Pike (Michael Beach) to death.

"Next season you're going to see Octavia take an even darker turn into the depths of her despair and she makes some interesting choices then too," Avgeropoulos told IGN.

"Octavia is going to be a double-edged sword next season," the actress went on to say, warning that her character will be challenging to deal with in "The 100" season 4.

As for Clarke, Taylor says that it might be a while before she opens up her heart to someone again after the death of her greatest love Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey).

The star said that it is unlikely for "The 100" season 4 to find a new person to love, seeing how much she invested in her relationship with

"I don't know if she will love again. I don't know if that is a possibility for her, given what she's just been through," the actress told the audience of the Oz Comic-Con.

That being said, shippers of Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Clarke fondly called Bellarke might not happen in "The 100" season 4 or anytime soon.

Taylor believes that moving on will be very tough for Clarke, especially since the person she lost is someone she loved with everything she had. It was a great love, and that won't be forgotten easily.

Although she wants Clarke to love again, Taylor told TV Guide that "it's going to take a long time to grieve and to move forward. And I want to allow her that time."

Clarke might not have some time for new romance in "The 100" season 4anyway, since there's still the lingering threat posed by Alie (Erica Cerra) that could render the planet inhabitable in six months.

"The 100" season 4 premieres early next year.
