With the production for "The 100" season 4 well underway, much about the news on the next season of the hit post-apocalyptic series comes from the set.

Executive producer Aaron Ginsburg has been keeping fans up to speed on the production through Twitter, where he, yet again, shared a bit of information on what to expect in "The 100" season 4.

"There will be a lot of extras. There will be some violence," he tweeted out, echoing the words he overheard from a production meeting.

This suggests that Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and company could take part in another war, which suggests that "The 100" season 4 might not be all about saving the planet from its nuclear demise after all.

It looks like, in the process of saving it, war will once again break out. However, when the show returns, the group will primarily deal with the problem cooked up by Alie (Erica Cerra), who made sure her enemies will suffer even after she is long gone.

When Ginsburg was asked to spill a few beans about the radiation storyline, in particular, he simply said that "All will be answered when [The 100 season 4] airs."

It looks like no one will be safe in the new season of the series, and death could either come from the nuclear apocalypse the planet is facing or a war that will happen in "The 100" season 4 at some point. Either way, things will get brutal.

This is not the first time Ginsburg teased that "The 100" season 4 will be bloody. In a previous tweet, he said that they were working on "the most twisted, brutal episode" in the entire series.

Costume designer Allisa Swanson also implied that episode 8 of "The 100" season 4 will see someone get "maimed, wounded or killed."

Another potential source of the violence will likely be Octavia's (Marie Avgeropoulos) path of revenge as she deals with the death of the love of her life, Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) by killing the people responsible.

"The 100" season 4 is expected to premiere early next year on The CW.
