'The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron' new trailer: Ultron will break free from his puppeteer

Reports recently went around that "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" trailer would be released after this week's episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."  However, it didn't happen as planned, and the video was uploaded online before the episode even aired.

So, how did Marvel Studios react to the unfortunate leak?

"Dammit Hydra" is what they posted on Twitter.

The leaked trailer is exactly what the official trailer looks like, except the official one is of better HD quality. But no one really cared much about video quality at that point, for as long as fans got a sneak peek at the highly-anticipated "Avengers" movie sequel.

Now that the official trailer is out, what are some of the things that stand out? For one, "The Avengers 2" trailer has a dark tone to it, and in the midst of the devastation and darkness are the members of the superhero team looking defeated and utterly hopeless.

The spoilers over the past months have some truth to them. It looks like the Avengers will be fighting one another or, to be particular, the rest of the team will hate Tony Stark. In the trailer, Stark speaks about how they have reached the end of the path.

Each member of the Avengers is shown. The Hulk struggles and fights with Hulkbuster. Captain America's shield is broken in half. Thor drops Mjolnir to the ground, which could be a sign of giving up, and he also picks up Stark by the throat. Black Widow and Hawkeye are there as well.  Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are also seen in action.

The whole trailer features Ultron's monologue from start to finish. But if there's one thing that sends shivers down the spine is the trailer's closing line with Ultron saying, "I have no strings on me." Ultron is clearly sending the message that he is now free from his puppeteer Tony Stark and that he is no longer a puppet to be controlled.

Surely, we'd all get to see how Ultron will deal with his new-found freedom when "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" is released on May 1, 2015.
