CBS has shared the first official image and a teaser clip for "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 which features Penny (Kaley Cuoco) interacting with her father Wyatt (Keith Carradine), brother Randall (Jack McBryer) and her mother Susan (Katey Sagal).

The image was shared exclusively by TV Line, and it showcases the family celebrating the wedding of Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny, but as pointed out in a report from Cinema Blend, the smiles are a facade as it has been teased that Susan and Randall are not in good terms ever since the latter got imprisoned for manufacturing and selling illegal drugs.

As for the short clip that was released via ET Online, it focuses entirely on the dysfunctional relationship between Penny and the rest of her family. When her father, Wyatt, asks her how she has been doing as a pharmaceutical representative, she states she has found a certain level of success.

Randall then interjects and states that he had a tougher time given that Penny only has to worry about selling the drugs while he has to go through the process of making drugs, albeit illegal ones. Susan reprimands him for this and later gets mad at Wyatt for the way he manages their children.

Although Penny's family is only set to appear in the premiere episode, showrunner Steve Molaro hints that they may be featured again before the season is over, if negotiations around each actor's schedule are worked around.

"Now that they are officially members of the 'Big Bang' family, we would love to have them come back so we can service them with more time and energy than we could in the premiere," Molaro stated, according to TV Line.

It further pointed out that other family members of other characters, such as Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) grandmother and Leonard's father, have also been brought into the show. This has gotten many fans to speculate that season 10 may be the final season of the show, and in an interview with Radio Times, actress Kaley Cuoco also hinted this might be the end.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 19 on CBS.
