After a two-week hiatus, "The Big Bang Theory" season 11 will return with episode 12 titled "The Matrimonial Metric." In this episode, it will continue the story of Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy's (Mayim Bialik) wedding preparations.

The couple will choose who among their friends will be part of their wedding. They will decide who will be the maid of honor and the best man. The two will be using science in order to help them come up with a decision. Spoilers reveal that they will subject their friends to secret science experiments.

Reports point out that Sheldon and Amy are treating their friends like lab rats just to test if they can be involved in their wedding. It is also said that Leonard deserves to be the best man because of his support to Sheldon all this time. Leonard is also involved in many different antics from Sheldon.

The preview of the episode reveals that Penny will find out about what the pair are doing. She will see the couple's leader board with their names on it and corresponding points. The teaser video also shows Sheldon and Amy talking while on bed. Amy will talk about Sheldon having cold feet. Sheldon will respond saying that Amy is right to be worried. Does it mean that Sheldon will cancel their engagement?

Fans of the series are hoping that the two will already tie the knot after a long time of being a couple. Although the preview hints that Sheldon has second thoughts about the engagement, there is still a bigger possibility that the wedding will happen.

Also in episode 12, Penny will express her true feelings about Amy. Promotional photos of the episode show Amy hugging Penny, and with the looks of it, it appears that Penny said something positive to Amy.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 11 episode 12 will air on Thursday, Jan. 4, at 8 p.m. ET on the CBS Television Network.
