It is time to meet Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) beloved maternal grandmother in the upcoming episode of the hit CBS series "The Big Bang Theory."

In "The Meemaw Materialization," Star Watch Byline reports that Meemaw (June Squibb) will come and visit her grandson. Her arrival, however, will not bode well for Amy (Mayim Balik). Sheldon's granny has, apparently, not forgiven her for breaking up with her boy and she will waste no time to express her disappointment. While Sheldon will do his best to shield his girlfriend from most of the tirade, he will be stunned to hear a best-kept secret coming out of Meemaw's mouth. The old woman will reportedly let slip that he already has a ring for Amy.

During the midseason finale, Sheldon and Amy broke up when the latter wanted some time off from the relationship. It was a heartbreaking scenario, especially when the viewers got a glimpse of what looked like an engagement ring that Sheldon was holding.

Although the pair made up already, the bling has remained hidden, which makes those who saw it wonder if they were just hallucinating. When Meemaw eventually divulges the secret, it will be interesting how Amy will react. She would probably feel angry at herself, when she realizes she broke Sheldon's heart the night he was about to propose to her.

Last episode, Sheldon's rude behavior when he was sick went back to haunt him. His friends were all going to Vegas on a fun-filled, party bus trip and he was not included. Amy was still in Detroit for her neurobiology conference, but during their video chat, she revealed it was already finished three days ago. She opted to stay because she knew how cranky her boyfriend becomes whenever he is sick. Amy taught Sheldon the value of apology and empathy and told him that if he would just say sorry to the gang, perhaps they would change their minds.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
